So I went and saw Igor today and while it was pretty sappy in a lot of parts the voice acting by John Cusack, John Cleese, Eddie Izzard, and Steve Buscemi was actually pretty fun. It has its moments like most things but it was just a nice little film. Nothing really great and nothing new brought to the table but on the other hand running an economy by holding a mad scientist fair and then holding the world ransom by threat of releasing the last abomination standing to make your money for the year does seem like an interesting business model. It was worth the matinee price which is good enough for me.

Got an email yesterday morning that Honz the owner of Gateway BMW was having a ride down past Potosi with a camp out that night. So Loaded some things up on the bike and met him and 7 other guys at the shop and rode down to the site. There was a bonfire made out of the shipping pallets for the motorcycles at the shop so plenty of wood plus open airy structure equaled huge inferno bonfire. There was brats and some beer and generally a good time had by all. I got up this morning and put away the tent and such and headed back out to I44 and then home while the rest of the guys on their GS Adventure bikes were going to do some heavy off-roading and then camp another night somewhere else. There was one other guy out in the woods last night without an Adventure and he had the K1200S which is BMW's ludicrous speed sport bike, I am honestly surprised he made that last three miles on the washed out gravel. It was fun and now I am tired but home at least.
He says, "I think there's a really good chance Sarah Palin could become president, and I think that's a really scary thing. It's like a really bad Disney movie, the hockey mom, you know, 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska'... and she's facing down (former Russian) President (Vladimir) Putin... It's totally absurd... It's a really terrifying possibility."
And Damon takes issue with Palin's take on the creation: "I need to know if she thinks dinosaurs were here (on earth) 4,000 years ago, I really do - because she's gonna have the nuclear codes."
I am gonna go with it is all over folks, I have to agree.
