The other item Don brought......

|

Don has also brought to me the brand of sony/ericsson cellphones as I am the proud owner of a P800 which if you can fork out the money is a great phone, but if your going to fork out the money get the P900 trust me.

SOOO Shiny

|

So a semester ago I bought a 30 gig ipod. This was the first step on a very shiny very expensive road. I new it would be cool but I use it all the time and it has been very well designed and all that. A very impressive piece of hardware. I also had the opportunity to use OSX on various Powerbooks and an iMac that Eric, Carrie, Don, and Jason had. I became rather enamored with the OS and its across the board ease of use. Plus it allowed me to develop software closer to the way I like with a Unix underside to the system. These things all combined led me further down the road of shiny and expense to where I am now, which is to say the owner of a 15 inch superdrive powerbook, an iSight, and a 30 gig ipod. Don said I was a now a card carrying member of the club. I have to say this is the most expensive card I have ever owned total price of hardware is right at 3K. I mourn the loss..... of my bank account. But already the laptop has brought me joy as I just like the way it works, plus the radeon 9600 is frickin sweet with ut2k4......

I fought the Law....

|

and the Law won.

On one of the first few visits to Eric's place I got a parking ticket for parking across a crosswalk. I plead innocent I say, hey theres a number on the ticket to call if you have any objects or questions. So I call and i get a hold of a nice lady after the appropriate wait time. (about 20 miles worth of drive) She says here take some pictures of the intersection in question and send them to me with a copy of the ticket and I will have the ticket dropped for you. I take some pictures. I go to the ticket offices of KC and after getting shuffled around a bit I find out that the only person that has the power to drop a ticket is the prosecutor, which they don't do. All the response I got was that if i show up to a court date the ticket will be dropped with no problem. They seem to fail to understand the statement I am a student and live 200 miles away and don't have the time to drive up to say you guys wrote me a BS ticket. All the response was the same either take it to court or pay it, they could care less either way. So beaten down by "the man" I pay my 40 dollars and go on. The law won this time........

This is my warning

The following posts are some in number but are badly delayed as i just haven't really posted....(I know no kidding)

Doom

|

Ok so I am looking around for software for the p800 out of idle curiosity and I come across a couple of things that are kind of disturbing. How do you know when a particular piece of software has perpetuated itself to every platform possible. The answer to this is when the software fully works on your mobile phone. I now have all 4 episodes of doom and all of nethack to pass the time. But really that means someone took the time to make these programs work on the p800......free time i suppose.

Post from a phone

I know l haven't posted in a while, but l thought l would try using my p800 to make a post and see how it went. Ah the combination of new toys and good information ideas.
